Welcome Fantasy football fans, Rex Callahan here from FantasyWeek.us with your rapid-fire Thursday start-or-sit rundown.

Week Five brings a massive wave of practice absences and sudden backfield promotions. Thursday kickoff is just hours away, and fantasy managers cannot afford a slow reaction to shifting depth charts. Here is how you handle your starting lineup decisions right now.

Sit Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass-catchers tonight against Dallas. Baker Mayfield is officially ruled out with a thumb injury. Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels draws the start on a short week against a talented Cowboys defense that limits perimeter volume.

Start Will Shipley as a flex play for the Philadelphia Eagles. Starter Saquon Barkley is reportedly week-to-week with a hamstring issue and Tank Bigsby remains on injured reserve. However, Dameon Pierce is set to split backfield touches this Sunday in London against Jacksonville.

Start Tyler Huntley in two-quarterback and Superflex leagues. Lamar Jackson missed Wednesday practice with an ankle sprain and reportedly has only an outside chance to play. Huntley steps in against Atlanta, bringing a high rushing floor for managers needing immediate relief.

Start Mike Gesicki as an elite TE1 for the Cincinnati Bengals. Ja'Marr Chase is in concussion protocol and Tee Higgins is battling an adductor injury. Gesicki operates heavily out of the slot and becomes Joe Burrow's top healthy target against Miami.

Start Kyle Monangai as an RB2 for the Chicago Bears against Green Bay. Monangai seized the backfield in Week Four with thirty carries, one hundred forty-six yards, and two touchdowns. D'Andre Swift was benched following another costly fumble.
